  1. admissions welcome center Admissions Welcome Center Prospective students and families are welcomed to the York College campus at the Admissions Welcome Center, located in the Iosue Student Union Building. Admissions counselors offer information sessions and campus tours twice a day.
  2. evelyn and earle wolf hall Evelyn and Earle Wolf Hall The center for artistic activity on campus, Wolf Hall includes three art studios, a photography facility, and York College Galleries; rehearsal and practice rooms, multi-track recording studio and mixing control room, music library, and DeMeester Recital Hall; and edit suites, studios, and two state-of-the-art video production facilities coordinated by a high-tech computer assisted control room.
  3. campbell hall Campbell Hall Campbell is home to Academic Services, which includes Academic Advising, the Center for Professional Excellence, the Career Development Center, and the Center for Teaching and Learning. Campbell also includes state-of-the-art chemistry instrumentation to support majors in Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry and Pre-Med.
  4. appell life sciences building Appell Life Sciences Building The Appell Life Sciences Building features updated laboratory spaces, multiple specialty spaces (tissue culture suite, microscopy lab, walk-in cold room), research and preparation spaces, and student and faculty conference rooms for the departments of Biological Sciences, Behavioral Sciences and Education.
  5. willman business center Willman Business Center Future home of the largest academic department on campus, the Willman Business Center will feature a tiered auditorium, financial trading and commerce laboratory, smart classrooms, and a glass-enclosed corporate training center. Programs offered through the Department of Business Administration include Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering Management, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Operations Management and Master of Business Administration.
  6. schmidt library Schmidt Library In addition to print and online collections, Schmidt Library provides dynamic group study spaces, quiet study floors, wireless laptops for use in the library, technology-enhanced group study rooms, comfortable lounge areas, wireless network connections including the outdoor courtyard, college archives, and Special Collections.
  7. parking garage Parking Garage The Parking Garage, located on Main Campus behind Schmidt Library, is available to commuter students and campus visitors attending special events.
  8. humanities center Humanities Center The Humanities Center features classrooms, an oral history lab and museum studies room, film study labs and a film screening room, computer labs, faculty offices, and Pura Vida Café. The World Languages Media Center allows students to further delve into their language of choice, and the Learning Resource Center offers academic help (like tutoring and writing assistance) to students. Majors available through the Department of English include Literary Studies, Professional Writing, Philosophy, Spanish, Secondary Education-English and Theatre. History and Political Science offers History, International Relations, Political Science, Secondary Education-Social Studies, and Prelaw Studies.
  9. collegiate performing arts center Collegiate Performing Arts Center The Collegiate Performing Arts Center (CPAC), which opened in Fall 2008, houses the 705-seat York Collegiate Theatre and the 125-seat Perko Playpen Theatre, an experimental black box-type theatre. The York College Players, who perform on both stages, enjoy a scene shop, green room and costume shop. The York Collegiate Theatre hosts musical performances, nationally recognized speakers and other special events.
  10. bookstore Bookstore Textbooks, Spartan wear, snack foods and beverages, residence hall and classroom supplies, greeting cards and stamps are available in the Bookstore.
  11. iosue student union building Iosue Student Union Building Iosue Student Union offers several eating options: Johnson Dining Hall, located on the first floor, serves breakfast lunch and dinner, and Spart’s Den offers a grab-and-go option, as well as a venue for entertainment such as comedians and musicians. The Bookstore is a one-stop shop for all student essentials: books, Spartan wear, snack foods and beverages, residence hall and classroom supplies. WVYC, the College radio station that broadcasts more than 100 hours each week, is located in the Student Union, as is the Admissions Welcome Center, where counselors offer information sessions and campus tours twice a day.
  12. miller administration building Miller Administration Building Bearing the name of the College's first president, Miller Administration Building includes the President's Office, Admissions, Academic Affairs, Business Affairs, Campus Operations, Financial Aid Office and Registrar.
  13. manor hall north Manor Hall North Manor Hall North, part of the Manor Complex of residence halls located on Main Campus near Country Club Road, is a traditional residence hall that houses 170 students on four floors; each floor is single gender.
  14. manor hall south Manor Hall South Manor Hall South, part of the Manor Complex of residence halls located on Main Campus near Country Club Road, is a traditional residence hall that houses 123 students on three floors; each floor is single gender.

  17. manor hall northeast Manor Hall Northeast Manor Hall Northeast, part of the Manor Complex of residence halls located on Main Campus near Country Club Road, is a traditional residence hall that houses 99 students on three floors; each floor is single gender. The Department of Campus Security is also located in Manor Hall Northeast.

  19. brougher chapel Brougher Chapel The services of a Catholic priest, Protestant minister, and Rabbi are available to students for counseling, religious guidance, and support. There are three student religious organizations: the Catholic Newman Club, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, and Hillel Jewish Organization. In addition to the main worship area, Brougher Chapel contains space for religious activities, meditation, counseling, and special events.
  20. president's home President's Home A charming Williamsburg style property adjacent to the campus, the President's Home is also the setting for receptions for visiting artists, lecturers, and special guests.
  21. pershing house Pershing House Formerly a private residence, Pershing is a co-ed house that is home to 10 upperclass students.
  22. susquehanna hall Susquehanna Hall Susquehanna Hall is an apartment-style residence hall community of four floors that houses approximately 86 upperclass students in four-person apartments. Each apartment has a common living area and kitchen with two bedrooms.
  23. codorus hall Codorus Hall Codorus Hall, a traditional-style residence hall community comprised of three floors, houses approximately 41 first-year men and women in double rooms.
  24. penn hall Penn Hall Located on Main Campus near Springettsbury Avenue, Penn Hall is a traditional-style residence hall that houses 133 students.
  25. evergreen hall Evergreen Hall Evergreen is a suite-style residence hall community comprised of four nine-person suites. The Hall houses approximately 35 students in double and triple rooms.

  34. ecological sciences building Ecological Sciences Building The Ecological Sciences Building, a visually stunning three-story structure topped by five greenhouses, provides two teaching/research labs (Aquatic and Terrestrial laboratories), a large aquaria space, a controlled growth chamber and research spaces.

  39. grantley hall Grantley Hall Grantley Hall is home to the Division of College Advancement (Communications, Development, Alumni Relations) and the Office of Community Education, as well as the Spartan student newspaper.
  40. mckay hall McKay Hall The Nursing Education Center in McKay Hall includes five state-of-the-art learning laboratories that replicate actual clinical settings: a basic nursing care lab, an adult health lab (critical care and chronic care), a maternal/ pediatric care lab, a home care lab, and a communication/mental health lab. The media center and computer laboratory provide opportunities for learning via computer-assisted programs and films.
  41. grumbacher sport and fitness center Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center The Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center provides full-time students, and staff and faculty with valid ID access to multiple recreation venues, including a three-court field house, state-of-the-art strength and fitness center, 12-recreational-lane natatorium, three-lane elevated jogging track, two-story climbing wall, classroom space, racquetball court, multi-purpose rooms, café, and the Charles Wolf Gymnasium. The Center is also complimented outdoors by two artificially surfaced and two natural grass playing fields, as well as an all-weather running track complete with throwing circles and jumping pits.
  42. little run lodge Little Run Lodge Little Run houses students in a suite-style arrangement, with each air-conditioned suites for two to five students comprised of single and double bedrooms, a common area and bathroom. The West Campus Community Center is attached to Little Run Lodge.
  43. west campus community center West Campus Community Center The West Campus Community Center (WCCC) is a student center with a dining facility, central mailboxes, multipurpose space, TV lounges, game room, group study rooms, and other special features. There’s also a store that sells Spartan wear and convenience items.
  44. spring garden apartments Spring Garden Apartments Spring Garden is a residence hall complex on West Campus that houses 180 students in four-person apartments.
  45. richland hall Richland Hall Richland is a residence hall complex on West Campus that houses 154 students in three-, four-, or five-person apartments.
  46. brockie commons Brockie Commons Brocker Commons is a four-story complex on West Campus that houses 144 students in four- or five-person apartments.
  47. country club manor apartments Country Club Manor Apartments Country Club Manor Apartments, located on West Campus, house 280 students in apartments of two-five students. In Fall 2009, the College introduced Independent Living in Country Club, which allows residents who are 21 or older to possess and consume limited quantities of alcohol.
  48. kinsley engineering center Kinsley Engineering Center The Kinsley Engineering Center contains state-of-the-art laboratories, equipment, computers, and design facilities including a mechatronics lab, materials science and engineering lab, machine shop and welding lab, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics lab, and CAD lab. The Center features a workspace area where students can design, build and test large-scale projects and foster interaction with local industry, and a large common area where the students from various majors can go to study, interact, and work on collaborative research projects.
  49. kings mill depot Kings Mill Depot A repurposed manufacturing facility on North Campus, Kings Mill Depot is home to campus operations, the print shop and mail services, and the business incubator for the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship.
  50. northside commons Northside Commons Northside Commons adds 171 units for 275 students in a five-story, air-conditioned residence hall that features single and double bedrooms. Home to a mix of freshmen and returning students, it features a furnished lounge and common space.
  51. kinsley field Kinsley Field Home of the NCAA Division III Spartan field hockey and men’s and women’s lacrosse teams.
  52. graham field Graham Field Home of the NCAA Division III Spartan men’s and women’s soccer teams.
  53. seligman field Seligman Field Seligman Field is used for campus recreation and intramural contests.
  54. jacquet field Jacquet Field Home of the NCAA Division III Spartan baseball team.

    In the Classroom

    York College offers more than 50 majors in professional programs, the sciences and humanities through its nine departments: Behavioral Sciences, Biological Sciences, Business, Education, English and Humanities, History and Political Science, Music, Art and Communication, Nursing, Physical Science. The College also offers master's programs in business, education and nursing, and a doctorate in nursing practice.

    Living on Campus

    More than half of York College’s 4,600 students live in college-owned housing, which is comprised of 29 residences that include apartments, suites, and traditional housing.

  • Athletics

    Athletics and Recreation

    York College offers 20 varsity sports (10 men’s and 10 women’s) that compete in the Capital Athletic Conference in the NCAA Division III. The College also offers a recreation program that includes intramurals, club sports and group exercise sessions.

    Each year, York College hosts a series of cultural events that are designed to entertain and enlighten members of both the campus and regional communities. Our goal is to provide something for everyone’s taste – a variety of concerts, art exhibits, films, lectures, and theatrical performances.
